Two posts in one day??? Holy majoly! [It's called procrastination, people.] So, I'm knee-deep in organic chem, thoroughly enjoying myself as always (and THAT'S sarcasm), when I run across this fun little piece of information:
(reading about nitrogen-containing compounds, for all of you non-science geeks out there)
"One other characteristic of amines is their odor. [Now, odor was italicized, mind you, apparently to give it some sort of special effect. Which was promptly lost on me.] Low-molecular-weight amines such as trimethylamine have a distinctive fishlike aroma [yummmy!], while diamines such as cadaverine [wait, what? this can't be good. wait for it, waaaaaiiittt for it....] have names that are self-explanatory."
